Toys R Us has revealed their best selling Christmas toys over the festive period. The classic construction toy Lego made a major comeback in 2010. Several high profile merchandise licenses like Lego Toy Story 3, Lego Harry Potter and Lego Star Wars, resulted in the Lego range becoming the best selling toys over the Christmas period. Toys R Us reported that Lego was so popular in their UK stores that displays were being restocked up to five times a day in November and December to keep pace with demand.
Other top Christmas toys that featured prominently at Toys R Us during the busy festive season included Ben 10 and Zhu Zhu Pets, with Ben 10 Alien Force and Ben 10 Ultimate Alien Figures coming in as first choice and the hugely expanded Zhu Zhu Pets product range, introducing new playsets, hamster runs and battle arenas to the marketplace, together with Kung Zhu Pets being among the best selling Christmas toys.
Toys R Us have seen a real change in the way children choose their toys in the past 12 months, with the most sought after toys being Toy Story and Ben 10, but the findings also feature some good old-fashioned toys like Lego, Play-Doh and hula hoops.
Look out for the new Lego 2011 Toys like Lego Ninjago and Lego Pirates of the Caribbean.
